THE BIRTH OF MILKGEN
milkGEN was born from the real challenges faced by new moms—exhaustion, uncertainty, and the need for expert support during the critical stages of breastfeeding. Oftentimes, expert help arrives too late, when mothers are already overwhelmed with discomfort and doubt. New moms need confidence and practical tools before birth. Research shows adults forget "50% of what they learn within an hour,"1 making it even more important for moms to learn the essentials beforehand. That’s where milkGEN steps forward. We offer In Person & Virtual hands-on prenatal lactation consults, and FREE access to our comprehensive Digital Library. By reinforcing key concepts through our modern library, we provide the support needed to build confidence and breastfeed independently from day one. This foundation will allow you and the hospital consultant to dive deeper into specific challenges, without overwhelming you with new information all at once.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
I’m Selina, founder and lead consultant of milkGEN. With more than a decade of experience as a Mother/Baby Nurse and five years as a Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) at the nation’s largest birthing hospital, I’ve guided countless families through the joys and challenges of breastfeeding. My foundation as a Registered Nurse, combined with years of specialized expertise, allows me to offer unparalleled support rooted in both science and compassion. As a mother of five, I’ve lived the breastfeeding journey—navigating newborn weight concerns, jaundice, milk allergies, oral ties, and the complexities of exclusive and combination feeding. I understand how overwhelming these moments can feel, which is why I’ve dedicated my career to empowering parents with the confidence, knowledge, and tools they need to thrive. At milkGEN, I blend clinical expertise with a deeply personalized approach, supporting every mom in receiving the care and guidance she deserves. As milkGEN grows, I’m excited to build a team of exceptional professionals who share my passion for encouraging mothers at every stage of their breastfeeding journey.
